Gold PTT is a photothermal therapy which combines Gold micro-shells with dermatology lasers to treat acne. How Gold PTT Works:

The Gold PTT solution is first applied on the area to be treated and is spread using sonophoresis, so that it is fully absorbed into the hyperactive sebaceous glands. The hyperactive glands are brought back to their normal size but are not blocked fully so that normal sebum production may continue. The gold micro-shells are excreted out of the sebaceous glands within 4 weeks, along with normal sebum production. The gold micro-shells have also been clinically tested for non-toxicity.
